My experience with Boone Gardiner Landscape and Farm has been an ongoing journey from one home to the next. When I need expertise, imagination, excellence in product and craft, Matt is who I call. His installations have always delivered what I’m looking for – and very importantly, his species are hardy and survive their installations and the following winters…I cannot recommend Matt and his team enough. He and his team SHOW UP when they say they will and complete the job on time and on budget. We are in the initial phase of landscaping at our new home and we look forward to continuing the work with Boone Gardiner Landscape and Farm.
We had Matt and his team install a new paver patio in our backyard. The entire team was responsive, personable, professional, and timely. Matt came out a couple of times to work on the landscape design and gave us a fair estimate. When there was a bit of a hiccup in one of the cost estimate, he worked with us to ensure we could still fit it within our budget. The patio and landscaping turned out fantastically. Highly recommend.
As I checked out landscaping business in our area, I was drawn to the ‘family business for many years’ aspect. Our experience with this company has been positive. Mr. Gardiner helped me develop a plan with plants of little maintenance, colors I would enjoy, and with his knowledge proper placement with adding character to my yard. The workers were friendly and worked hard. Changes to the original plan were discussed in advance for my approval. Mr. Gardiner checked on his employees through the day to see that the work correct. I am very pleased with the results now and will have a hard time waiting to see how everything blooms next year!
Boone Gardner Landscape is exceptional! I have used them for a variety of home landscaping projects over the years, and will continue to do so! They have constructed a sitting area in my backyard, filled in beds with appropriate plantings, and have created new beds where needed.
The planning phase is creative and appropriate and aligns beautifully with our older home and yard configuration. The work ethic of their employees is top notch. They are kind, respectful, follow the plan perfectly, and clean up beautifully when finished with each project. Matt is a delight to work with and he is well informed and educated with various plantings and design work to match your home environment. I highly recommend them to anyone wanting to improve their yard and landscaping. They are fantastic!
We had an amazing experience with Boone Gardiner Landscaping. We had a sad section of our backyard. They transformed it into a winding path leading to a swing, surrounded by trees and plantings. Their team was dedicated to making our vision a reality. We are very happy with our new outdoor space. Highly recommend!
I met with them to form a plan. A few weeks later we had a lay out. It was very professionally done and I loved it. The overgrown bush were hideous. They pulled them out and added the new landscaping. I love it! It adds so much curb appeal. Everyone was amazing to work with throughout the process. I would highly recommend this company and I really love that they are a local company.
A few years ago Boone Gardiner Landscaping designed and installed the flower beds by our front door, as well as a stone path leading to it. This year they also installed a gravel patio by our walkout basement. They do a very nice job and communicate very well to make sure you are happy with their work.

I had Boone Gardiner replace some parts of our landscaping that never really recovered after a deep freeze. Matt was helpful and responsive throughout the process and reached out to let me know that the wrong plant was planted and coordinated getting it fixed with no hassle whatsoever. This was our second time using Boone Gardiner and I would use them again in the future.
We are absolutely in love with our backyard design and landscaping. Matt designed our backyard a few years ago but we decided to do a few other projects first. We had an area of our yard that needed some TLC due to some erosion. Matt came out to see the property to see the damage and to hear what we were hoping to accomplish. He then came back to us later with some great suggestions that we ran with. The area looks amazing with the plants and the dry creek beds are working perfectly after some heavy rains that we have had recently. We could not be happier with the way it looks. Matt is very professional and has a good vision to help spruce up your property. I would recommend Matt & Hope and their company to anybody.
We called several landscape companies to address our landscape issues. We have a very steep slope that made mowing extremely difficult and dangerous. Our goal was to eliminate mowing in these two areas of our yard. Matt was the first to return our call. He was responsive through the entire project. He came out to our home, assessed our areas and talked with us about what we wanted to do, our thoughts, and what plants we liked and didn’t like. He’s a good listener and he provided us with a plan complete with drawings and photos of what he thought would meet our needs best. After answering all of our questions addressing our concerns we easily decided that he was the man for the job.
His team did not disappoint. They too were responsive and thorough. Together they transformed our frustration into a beautiful garden space. The guys were polite, neat and knowledgeable. Every evening they cleaned up the workspace and left it better than they found it. Plant size was great, they didn’t disappoint with tiny seedlings but put in things that began blooming within a week of being planted and filled our space nicely. Matt left us with detailed instructions for watering, fertilizing and pruning. We are extremely satisfied with every step of the process and would recommend them highly. Don’t waste your time calling anyone else you will not be disappointed!
BG have completed beautiful renovations of both our front yard and backyard landscaping – we loved our front yard experience so much we had them back!
In both renovations the designers really took time to LISTEN (!) and delivered innovative and visually pleasing ideas taking our preferences into consideration. The crews worked really hard every day no matter what the weather conditions. They were polite and personable, happy to answer questions and genuinely interested in planting the new trees and shrubs in harmony with the yard conditions and with homeowner input. Aftercare instructions were clear and easy to execute. Result: a visually pleasing and healthier, lush landscape.
Had new landscaping done across the front of our house and beside our garage. Matt met with us and got our thoughts and designed. Matt brought plans over for our approval and then scheduled the work. The guts were friendly and cleaned up after themselves. It looks great. Highly recommend Matt and his team.
I have known Matt for nearly 20 years. I cannot say enough good about the landscape projects that he has done for me. The latest project was the largest by far, and it went as smoothly as could be. His workers were as professional as I have seen. They allowed me to help, which really means I was constantly in their way, and they never missed a beat. We knew from the beginning, the project would be a little fluid with respect to the placement of the materials. I often relied on their opinions and they hit home runs every time. It was very clear to me, when it comes to landscaping, they do this very, very well. It was an absolutely great experience . I cannot wait for the next project.
Top quality nursery stock installed well. The most impressive aspect of the project was the care given to a detailed landscape plan which was implemented in stages.

“My shrubs were old but determined to eat up my yard and harbored mosquitoes just waiting for a meal, me, to walk out the door. I wanted a whole new look. A knowledgeable gardener friend of mine recommended Boone Gardiner. I liked the name, sort of vintage Louisville, and called for an appointment. The young man who returned my call sounded like he would be sympathetic to the idiosyncrasies of an elderly lady with fanciful ideas. Matt arrived and I knew that I did not need to look further after our initial visit. He is a listener of dreams. He was knowledgeable about my soil and savvy about what would thrive with a minimal of weed- plucking- back- bending labor, but realistic about the upkeep as well. His plan for watering with buried hoses appealed to me both as a practical and aesthetic solution. Matt did his best to stay within my budget and kept me informed when I was going astray. His charges seemed reasonable considering the many levels of work performed.
The selection of plants and flowers in color, texture and variety were well planned and presented to me on a large print out. I made only a few alterations, adhering closely to his design. The actual planting after the removal of the shrubs was exciting. Matt’s team of planters was outstanding, efficient and careful to follow the blueprint. They consulted me about things that arose to be sure I was satisfied, like whether I wanted my old jonquils transplanted, which I did, and which are now blooming.
His men, along with Matt, respectfully consented to join me in a blessing of my new maple tree.
