Boone Gardiner has designed 3 wonderful landscapes for each of our homes over the past 36 years. Each of our homes was very different and required a different aesthetic. We were always more than pleased with his ideas. First he met with us to get a feel of what we wanted. Then he drew up plans illustrating our desires and making suggestions to enhance coordination and seasonal changes in color and textures. The resulting outcome was beautiful and easy to maintain.

I contracted Matthew and his crew for our first ever landscape project in our backyard in the spring of 2016. The work was outstanding, the crew was very efficient and professional and the project was a success and was finished on the time promised.

My shrubs were old but determined to eat up my yard and harbored mosquitoes just waiting for a meal, me, to walk out the door. I wanted a whole new look.  A knowledgeable gardener friend of mine recommended Boone Gardiner. I liked the name, sort of vintage Louisville, and called for an appointment. The young man who returned my call sounded like he would be sympathetic to the idiosyncrasies of an elderly lady with fanciful ideas. Matt arrived and I knew that I did not need to look further after our initial visit. He is a listener of dreams. He was knowledgeable about my soil and savvy about what would thrive with a minimal of weed- plucking- back-  bending labor, but realistic about the upkeep as well. His plan for watering with buried hoses appealed to me both as a practical and aesthetic solution. Matt did his best to stay within my budget and kept me informed when I was going astray. His charges seemed reasonable considering the many levels of work performed.

The selection of plants and flowers in color, texture and variety were well planned and presented to me on a large print out. I made only a few alterations, adhering closely to his design. The actual planting after the removal of the shrubs was exciting. Matt’s team of planters was outstanding, efficient and careful to follow the blueprint. They consulted me about things that arose to be sure I was satisfied, like whether I wanted my old jonquils transplanted, which I did, and which are now blooming.

His men, along with Matt, respectfully consented to join me in a blessing of my new maple tree.

Boone Gardiner has provided me with the delight of watching my landscape grow, a blessing that will continue through the seasons.
